Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs offense doesn’t scare ANYBODY, says Nate Burleson – because it is completely focused around him – in damning verdict before Bills game

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense doesn’t scare anyone, former NFL wide receiver-turned-TV analyst Nate Burleson said, because the team’s offense is entirely focused on the tight end, he added, before the Chiefs play the Bills.
Watching film of the Chiefs’ offense in their last game against the Green Bay Packers, Burleson, a member of the Seattle Seahawks’ 35th anniversary team, said on CBS’s NFL Broadcast: “You know what I noticed on those plays … when you see Travis Kelce running, there are a few guys next to him.
“You line him up, double him up… they’ll have guys focusing on Travis Kelce. Every place. So the question is, if you take Kelsey away, what happens to this crime?
“I’m not sitting here trying to blame receivers,” explained Burleson, a former Vikings, Seahawks, Lions and Browns player, and added: “Being a complimentary player is not an easy job. I know this from playing alongside Rand Moss and Calvin Johnson.
“But these receivers have to step up because this offense is built on the discovery of Travis Kelce. If you lock him up and these guys can play, this offense isn’t going anywhere. Therefore, this insult does not frighten anyone…”
Block Travis Kelce and you can beat the Chiefs, NFL analyst Nate Burleson said Sunday.
Under Kelce’s play, the Chiefs lost three of their last five games, falling to 8-4 and unexpectedly lifting Baltimore and Miami atop the AFC standings.
What’s more, Kelce is just 10 days away from going over a month without a touchdown. His last loss to the Chiefs was 21-17 to the Philadelphia Eagles on November 20th.
The last time he gained over 100 yards in a game was a 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 22. He had 179 receiving yards in that game.
Like the 6-6 Bills, Kansas City has a similar sense of urgency after last Sunday’s loss in Green Bay. They relinquished control of their destiny when it came to the top playoff spot and the AFC’s only first-round bye with a lackluster 27-19 defeat.
Kelce is 10 days away from scoring a touchdown in a month. His last TD was on November 20th.
“I was on a team that was 6-4 and ended up winning the Super Bowl,” Mahomes said. “Every week we are confident that we will find a way to win. Obviously we’ve lost a couple of players in the last few weeks but we still have that mentality.”
However, unlike Buffalo, the Chiefs did not face anyone with a winning record the rest of the regular season.
“We can’t lose three out of four or three out of five. “It’s a critical situation,” Chiefs cornerback Chris Jones said, “especially where we’re trying to be in the next few weeks.” We must correct the mistakes, and we must correct them quickly.”
