And we waited 13 more days before we would find out and meet our new baby boy. Good term, Wolfie. To the (moon emoji) and back, sweet boy. #sentimentalsunday.’

The bassist celebrates his 33rd birthday later this March 16 – and is the son of Bertinelli and the late Eddie Van Halen.

Valerie was married to the musician from 1981 until their divorce was finalized in 2007. In October 2020, Eddie died aged 65 after suffering a stroke.

Last year in October, the actress had sweet words to say about her son, shortly before he joined Andraia Allsop.

She told People that her ex-husband and late star ‘would have been absolutely brilliant and so proud of the man Wolfie has become and is becoming…’

‘And so glad he’s found Andraia, someone who really understands Wolfie, who he is and who he wants to be, and supports him wholeheartedly.’

In 2021, before marrying his longtime girlfriend Andraia, Wolfgang opened up about the close bond he has with his mother.

“My boyfriend and I pretty much go over to my mom’s house every day to see her and play with her cats, who we love,” he told People back then.

‘I think a lot of people don’t understand how sarcastic our relationship is. Once she burned onion rings. And it’s like, she has a cooking show, so I just made fun of her for it.’

‘I asked her if I could post it. We get into GIF battles all the time on Twitter. Sarcasm is a language and it’s how we communicate!’ added the musician.

Valerie also told her son, “Besides the fact that he’s ridiculously talented, I’m most proud of his kindness and thoughtfulness.”

‘I think we both like to find humor in the absurd. This world is a seriously crazy place, and it’s easier to get through it by finding it funny and absurd. Sometimes it’s better to laugh than cry.’

Bertinelli has been busy preparing for the release of her latest cookbook titled, Indulge – which will be available later this year on April 2nd.

Late last month in February, she took to her main Instagram page to open up about the book, writing: ‘I’m so excited to share my new cookbook, Indulge’ with you all.

‘I wrote Indulge in this past year of healing as I searched for and found my true self. Do my best to be conscious of my joy and luckily find that I naturally hum with joy.’

She added: ‘I hope some of my essays will help you too find your joy, your purpose, and dare I say, help you “treat” yourself to the life you deserve. And not for nothing, there are a lot of super kick a** recipes in here!’

It comes not long after Valerie was left ‘really hurt’ after she was axed from the Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship after eight years on the show.

She was in talks to return as host, though a source told People that her return was “definitely discussed,” but her team “decided they wanted more and the talks stalled.”

Another source added: ‘Her deal was up and (Food Network) chose not to renew. They didn’t make a new offer, but Valerie was very keen to continue.”

Taking to her Instagram stories, Bertinelli said: ‘I’ve been avoiding watching what I got confirmed for last night and I didn’t want to talk about it last night because I wanted to sleep on it but it really hurt my feelings .’

‘I know it’s not meant to be, logically speaking. I know it’s just business, budget cuts, right, but it really hurt my feelings to know that I won’t be asked back.

“Without sounding like a drama queen, the show saved my life,” Bertinelli said, adding that it was “like a floating device” in what she described as her “peak year of hell.”

‘So it really hurts that I won’t be able to go back and see everybody and say, ‘Hey, I got through,'” she said, adding: “It’s a real shame.”

She added that the episodes currently airing on the Food Network, she recorded, ‘back in the summer of 2022, which was my peak year in hell.’

“I went through it and pretended everything was fine because that’s what you do, and without sounding like a drama queen, the show saved my life,” she said.

‘It just helped… working with all these really wonderful people and feeling productive and knowing that I had spread some kindness and not just wallowing in my hell and just trying to keep my head above water. It was like a flotation device,” she said.

“So it really hurts that I won’t be able to go back and see everybody and say, ‘Hey, I made it,'” she added.

Her manager, Marc Schwartz, told her as well Variety, ‘Her contract expired, they chose not to renew it. They could have come to me with a ‘Kids’ only offer. They never did. Simple as that.’
