In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the TV sensation explained that she isn’t particularly looking for love but believes she will find “something good” eventually.

She revealed that while she doesn’t have a list of criteria for her next man, she wants someone who has a “sparkle in his eye.”

Vanessa, 61, was engaged to cheater Ben Ofoedu, 51, but split from him in January, 17 years after she found “sexy messages” to another woman.

The blonde beauty has since become one of the country’s social butterflies as she spends her final days launching her new clothing company, 4Love, and spending her evenings with family and friends.

The TV sensation explained that she’s not really looking for love, but believes she’ll find “something nice” eventually.

Vanessa, 61, was engaged to Ben Ofoedu, 51, but called him off in January after 17 years for cheating (pictured in 2018).

Speaking about her new single and dating life, Vanessa said: “It’s not easy and it takes courage.

“I’ve told people millions of times, ‘It’s a numbers game,’ and I believe it.

“I mean, you go on as many dates as you can and maybe you’ll find something good in the end. And that’s what I do, I do my best.”

Despite the fact that the star has been on several dates since the devastating breakup, she said that someone outstanding has not yet appeared in her life.

She said: “I’ve been on a few dates and unfortunately not a single person of note.

“I just need someone who has something about them. Just a thing, you know. They don’t have to be beautiful. They do not have to be of a certain profession.

“They don’t have to, but it’s just like a twinkle in the eye and a giggle and a joke and whatever, you know, because some people are very, very flat and kind of straight forward, you know, that’s the way it is.

Although the star has been on a few dates since her devastating break-up, she revealed that someone big has yet to come into her life since she appeared on Celebs Go Dating.

When asked if she was looking for something serious, Vanessa joked: “I don’t know about serious; during the storm everything will be fine. I’m looking for any old thing, yes. Take a ride, hey…’

“You end up having this kind of polite conversation, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not, you know, it’s not interesting.

The fashionista said that although she is not looking for love and is not in a hurry to rush into anything anytime soon, she needs a companion.

She said that since she’s been single, many people have warned her how hard it is for her to date, and sometimes she wishes people wouldn’t comment on her.

“No, no, no, it’s not me. I’m not looking for anything, that’s true, but it would be nice. I would like to end up with someone I like, who likes me. I think it would be nice,” she added.

“I think most people would, but I’m not in that panicked rush and I know it’s not easy and unfortunately everyone keeps telling me how hard it is.” I wish they wouldn’t do that, but they really do.”

Vanessa tried her hand at Celebs Go Dating when she was ready to dip her toe into the dating pool again.

This will be the first year Vanessa has spent Christmas without Ben in 17 years, but she won’t let the absence dampen her celebration. She revealed she would be traveling to Ireland to see her grandchildren and spending a “traditional” Christmas in matching pajamas.

She said that although reality TV had its ups and downs, she would happily do it again.

She said: “If I’m still single by next year, I’ll do it again.” With pleasure. And this time I will be on my best behavior.”

The star was criticized for her “delusional superiority” and “rude attitude” on the show, but TikTok’s incredible army of Gen Z supporters accused the Channel 4 show’s matchmakers of “gaslighting” over her outspoken behavior.

“A woman of a certain age who wants to look beautiful, feminine, life-affirming, joyful, bright, festive, but not demanding attention, tasteless, overtly sexy.

“So each of these dresses just goes on over the head, no zippers, no buttons, nothing. No fastening. I do not have anyone; I have no one to help me.

Vanessa’s new clothing brand, which can be accessed through her Instagram, has been a huge success as the TV presenter explained they started selling out of the clothes in the first two days.
