NHL star Andrei Vasilevskiy’s post-game interview was interrupted in an unusual way Monday night – and he couldn’t stop laughing.
Following the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 4-0 win over the Dallas Stars, Vasilevskiy revealed his mindset heading into the game after suffering a reverse 8-1 loss just 48 hours earlier.
However, as he began to do so, the Tampa Bay goalie was distracted by a loud fart sound that was heard in the media scrum.
After laughing at the fart, Vasilevsky asked, “What was the question?”
He then struggled to maintain his composure again as scores of reporters burst into laughter.

The Tampa Bay goalie was distracted by a loud fart sound coming from the media scuffle.
Earlier in the evening, Vasilevskiy stopped 25 shots for his first shutout of the season, helping Tampa Bay to a four-game skid.
NHL points leader Nikita Kucherov also had a goal and an assist in the 4-0 win over Dallas.
Anthony Cirelli scored two goals and Luke Glendening also scored for the Lightning, who lost 8-1, holding Vasilevskiy to allowing six goals on 25 shots before going down after two periods.
“I thought the whole team played great today,” he said. “Great result because of that.”
Vasilevskiy made a stunning save off the post on Tyler Seguin’s shot from the left circle with 11.8 seconds left in the second en route to his 33rd career goal, including six against Dallas. He is 2-3-0 in five games since returning from back surgery.
“It looks like he’s back,” Lightning coach John Cooper said of his goalie after the game.
