TV presenter Osher Gunsberg has slammed the wild beach party that took over one of Sydney’s most popular seaside spots on Christmas Day.

Thousands of revelers were seen gathering at Bronte Beach in the city’s eastern suburbs on Monday morning, wearing red swimsuits to celebrate.

Video of the crowded beach quickly went viral online, with many visitors slamming the “disgusting” rubbish left behind, including Gunsberg, who lives in Bronte.

“Oh man, this team left a bloody mess behind them too,” the “Bachelor” host said on Monday.

As soon as the sun came out, many people filled the beaches.

The event is a mecca for thousands of tourists and backpackers heading to Australia for the summer.

Despite its appeal to foreigners, the event has drawn the ire of locals in recent years, largely due to the rubbish left behind.

“You should have seen the trash left behind.” Disgusting,” one person said.

“The worst part is they left this place a complete mess,” added another.

“(They) treat beaches like they don’t mean anything.”

Others called for action to be taken before the 2024 event, writing: “They should close the beach nest in a year.”

“It’s actually like a nightmare and the mess you all left behind is disgraceful…disgusting behavior.”

Bronte Surf Life Life Saving Club, which helped patrol the beach, said it had been a “difficult” day for volunteers.

“An amazing number of volunteers have given up part of their Christmas to keep thousands of people safe,” they said.

“Hopefully everyone will take their trash home if all the bins are full.”

However, this event was not without its supporters.

Video of the crowd of thousands was quickly uploaded to TikTok from local and international accounts.

“I want to know who coordinated this because the note came,” said user Fifihay.
