Working in the hospitality industry is certainly not easy, and having to deal with ungrateful clients certainly makes it even more difficult.
Probably every bartender, waiter and host around the world has encountered a rude guest in their establishment, which means that each of them has a story to tell.
Some tired hotel staff took to Reddit to express their displeasure. Serverlifeas they share images illustrating some of the worst customers to ever walk through their doors. Bored Panda I’ve compiled the best (and worst) into an online gallery.
Among the images is one showing a restaurant seating area covered in blue powder after a customer revealed the gender of their baby without asking permission first – and apparently with no thought to how long it would take to clean up. .
Elsewhere, a diner left wait staff a small tip because another customer’s baby was screaming while they were eating – something a stingy customer expected staff to supervise.
Waiters and bar staff from around the world took to Serverlife’s Reddit page to share their furious encounters, and Bored Panda compiled the best of them into a gallery. Among them was one waitress who was left a meager tip because her customer said she wished her happy birthday in a “lazy” tone.
And one unlucky waiter: a customer who sneezed with food in his mouth left behind quite a nasty mess that had to be cleaned up after he paid his bill and left the restaurant.
Another customer wrote “tip on the back” on the receipt and then sent seven passive-aggressive pieces of advice to the server, including “act like you don’t care.”
