A real-life Grinch was caught brazenly stealing a Christmas wreath from a GP’s front door.
Footage released by Kruti St Helen shows the thief approaching the house and taking a wreath from the door at 7.30pm on December 6.
It happened just three days before a wreath and lighted deer garden decoration were stolen from another address in Poole, Dorset.
The video shows the woman approaching Mrs St Helena’s home and pulling a wreath.
She turns to someone standing in the road and says, “He’s stuck.” She then pulls harder and removes the wreath before quickly walking away.
Ms St Helen, a 41-year-old GP, said: “I think my camera probably alerted me that someone was at the door, but we’re on a main road so sometimes it just picks up people walking past .
“I was upstairs at the time, so I didn’t pay attention.
“When I saw the wreath was gone, I initially thought it was a drunken thing, but I don’t think she was drunk.
“It seems to me that someone is collecting jewelry for themselves, especially after another lady’s expensive deer and wreath were stolen.
“We’ve had the wreath for a couple of years now, it’s plastic, I don’t remember how much it cost. We take it out every year and hang it on the door on December 2nd.
“I’m a therapist who works from home and I have vulnerable clients, so the thought of someone coming onto my property is not pleasant.
“This person doesn’t think about the consequences this could have on anyone’s safety.”
