The knifeman behind the shopping center stabbing that killed six was caught on CCTV ordering a red chicken curry just hours before the attack.
Queensland man Joel Cauchi was shot dead by police after he stabbed six people to death and injured several others, including a nine-month-old baby girl, at Bondi Junction Westfield shortly before 4pm on Saturday.
Just three hours before the tragedy, CCTV footage captured Cauchi ordering two meals.
The killer was seen ordering a red chicken curry from Bondi Junction’s Saigon Noodle – just a block away from the mall – at 10.01am on Saturday.
He opens his wallet but doesn’t pay, then leaves just a moment later, telling the worker serving him he’ll be back.
He came back to the restaurant at 12.21, ordered the same chicken curry and this time he paid for it.
He sat down and spent 15 minutes eating his last meal.
Rogate Sianipar served Cauchi and told the Daily Telegraph that he appeared confused.
‘He came twice. The first time he didn’t come with the money. I took the order. He said I will come back again, the staff said.
When she saw the news of Cauchi’s horrific stabbing, she “didn’t believe it.”
‘Tis the man I served. He came twice. I felt so lucky.

The revelation comes amid speculation Cauchi specifically targeted women during the attack. Six people, five women and one mankilled.
ONE nine month old baby was among those stung and underwent surgery on Saturday evening, NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb told reporters on Saturday.
The child’s mother was one of those who died, passing her baby to strangers and begging them to help before she lost consciousness.
The horrific attack ended only after Cauchi was shot dead by a lone female police officer.
New South Wales police are working to piece together Cauchi’s movements before the attack.
It is not believed that the attack was motivated by terrorism. He was schizophrenic and police are treating the horrific attack as mental health related.
His distraught family are understood to have frantically contacted police because their son was involved in the Bondi attack yesterday, News Corp Australia reports.

“Let me assure you that we are confident there is no ongoing risk and we are dealing with a person who is now deceased,” NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb said.
“The investigation will be ongoing for many, many days, but there are elements that we understand at this point that do not indicate (a terrorist attack), but as we move into the investigation, and the background of this person, his home, vehicle, associates, we will only know at that time.’
Anyone with information about Cauchi or Saturday’s attack has been urged to contact police.
