Ms Turvey’s best friend, Holly Simpson, has launched a fundraiser on behalf of the heartbroken family to provide support during the difficult times they are facing.

“If you were lucky enough to know Chelsea and she touched your heart, as she did for so many others, hold those memories close and carry her with you always,” Ms. Hollins wrote.

“As friends and family, we have all witnessed the incredible love and kindness she showered on others, and during this heartbreaking time, we want to ease the financial burden on her family to allow them to focus their time and energy on the children.

“Calm down, our angel, we will take care of Jimmy and the children.”

GoFundMe page has raised just under $10,000 of its $20,000 goal in less than a week.

Another close friend of Ms Turvey called her “a star in every sense” for her passion as a mother and loving wife.

“We will do our best to let your children and Jimmy know that you love them so much, be like their mother and never give up or give up,” she wrote on Facebook.

“We’re not even close to stepping into her shoes and trying to make sure her family is loved and cared for like she is, but we have to try to be brave now.”
