Dayne Brajkovich stabbing Perth: Cops storm Hells Angels’ home after notorious ex-bikie member had his throat slashed at a packed concert in an attempted ‘gangland hit’

Police stormed the homes of Hells Angels bikies following the brazen stabbing of their former fighter Dane Brajkovich.

Brajkovic, 44, was rushed to hospital after his throat was slashed about 9.50pm on Friday night as festival-goers were leaving the Ministry of Sound Classic premises at Kings Parks in Perth’s CBD.

The notoriously tattooed bikie was a former Hells Angels sergeant before he was kicked out of the club in 2022 after a dispute with senior management.

Detectives confirmed they were investigating whether the knife attack was an act of revenge by his former club.

Police said coordinated raids were carried out in suburbs of Perth on Saturday evening, leading to the arrests of five people.

At approximately 5.20pm officers raided a house in Kinross and arrested the 46-year-old Hells Angels prospect in the driveway.

Police are believed to have found a loaded firearm and several rounds of ammunition hidden in a sofa in the home.

Various amounts of cocaine, methylamphetamine, steroids and prescription drugs were also allegedly found on the property.

Police have released body camera footage of the dramatic raid, showing the moment officers raided the Kinross home.

Tactical response team officers in protective headgear and body armor can be heard screaming as they break down the door of a country house.

The 46-year-old was due to appear in court on Sunday on charges of not having a firearms license or permit, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of cocaine, dexamphetamine and methylamphetamine.

The Anti-Gang Squad, Rapid Apprehension Squad, Narcotics and Firearms Squad, Regional Task Force and Tactical Response Team also executed coordinated warrants in Como, Greenmount, Scarborough and Osborne Park.

As a result of the operation, three motorcycles were seized.

On Saturday, officer in charge of detective groups Anthony Thompson urged witnesses to the fight outside the Ministry of Sound concert to come forward.

Brajkovic was rushed to hospital with a critical neck injury after the shocking incident, which police have dubbed a “targeted attack”.

“At this stage we believe the incident is the result of internal differences between the Hells Angels and a former member.

“The parties involved are known to each other, and the possibility that this incident is the result of retaliation is certainly an area we are investigating.”

Brajkovic said he “asked for it” in an interview with the Sunday Times.

“I asked for it, I got it. It’s a game,” he told the publication.

Brajkovic, who served just one prison sentence for selling MDMA, claims he left the bikie and drug trades to focus on his property assets.

He owns at least three houses in the Perth area.

Brajkovic is a regular contributor to Western Australian newspapers, having gained notoriety for beating Rebels boss Nick Martin weeks before he was killed at the Perth Motorplex in 2020.

He previously told The West Australian that while leaving the Hells Angels club he bumped into the then-president at the clubhouse on Friday night.

“I didn’t have anyone else, so I brought (wife) Jacinta with me. She would follow me anywhere,” he said.

He added that he also brought his “favorite homemade steel brass knuckles with him to see if they still worked.”

“To be honest, he (the gang president) had a broken leg and walked on crutches, but he always boasted that he was a former military man and a former paratrooper.”

The couple argued with Brajkovic, saying he smashed a stool over the man’s broken leg for good measure, and he was no longer a member.

He also made headlines when he walked into the Perth Mint in June 2022 and bought $27,000 worth of gold bars.

Although the Mint requires extensive background checks on clients considered “high risk,” Brajkovich’s lawyer said he simply needed to show his driver’s license.
