EastEnders star Michael Greco, 53, is set to become a father for the second time two years after his first born
Michael Greco announced that he is expecting his second child.
The former EastEnders actor, 53, welcomed his first child Gianluca in 2021, who was born prematurely and weighed just 4.47lb with a rare birth defect.
Now he’s excitedly announced he’s preparing for the birth of another baby, sharing the news on his Instagram page on Friday afternoon.
Michael, who played Beppe DiMarco in the BBC show, shared an ultrasound photo of his unborn baby with the words: “See you in June daddy!”
He also wrote: “Over the moon to announce that another Baby Greco is on the way. My beautiful boy Gianluca is looking forward to seeing his little brother and sister.
“Thank God for giving me another miracle child. See you in June, baba.”
Former EastEnders actor Michael Greco has revealed he is expecting his second child with partner Helen Harris (pictured with their first child Gianluca)
The couple excitedly announced that they are preparing for the arrival of another child, which he shared on his Instagram page on Friday afternoon.
Earlier this year, Michael was an all-around doting dad as he enjoyed a family holiday with his partner Hele and their two-year-old son Gianluca.
The trio headed abroad in search of sunshine, with Helen taking to Instagram to share a host of happy snaps from abroad.
The trip marks a major milestone for the family, having previously left Michael in tears over Helen’s traumatic birth.
Gianluca was born with a rare defect in which his intestines developed outside his body. But almost two years later, the baby looked happy and healthy in the photographs.
Helen shared sweet photos of a shirtless Michael on the beach with their son, as well as snaps of their baby boy sitting on his lap during dinner and on the plane.
Another photo showed Gianluca enjoying a paddling session in the pool while wearing orange headbands.
Helen, who has two other children from a previous relationship, captioned the photo: “A lovely week in the warm sun to relax, recharge and spend some time with little Gianluca before he grows up too fast!” Thanks @thegrecs.
“It was strange knowing that @lily.may_harris was skiing in Switzerland, @c.__harris was playing football in Spain, and we were relaxing under the warm sun and blue skies, but I think this will happen more and more as we get older… so proud of them both and their strength and independence…plus they had a great time!!”
Earlier this year, Michael was an all-around doting dad as he enjoyed a family holiday with his partner Hele and their two-year-old son Gianluca.
Earlier this year, Michael reunited with the Di Marco family 25 years after appearing on the show.
The family were main characters in the BBC show in the 90s and consisted of mother Rose (Louise Jameson) and her sons Beppe (Michael Greco) and Gianni (Mark Bannerman).
Younger sisters Teresa and Nicky, played by Layla Burt and Carly Hillman, also featured in the series as grandparents to Bruno and Louise, as well as Joe’s grandson, Beppe’s son.
They found success in Walford with the Giuseppe family restaurant, but by the time 2000 rolled around, then show director John Yorke had decided to ax the family, with the exception of Beppe and Joe, whom he kept until 2002.
