Future Queen of Spain Princess Leonor, 18, wraps up warm in a chic coat to join her mother Letizia and King Felipe at the opening of parliament in Madrid
Queen Letizia of Spain is known for her fashion prowess, and if Princess Leonor’s latest appearance is anything to go by, it looks like the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
The 18-year-old heir to the throne joined her parents, including her 55-year-old father, King Felipe, at the inauguration of the 15th legislative assembly of the Spanish Parliament in Madrid.
For the occasion, Leonor showed off a stylish look in an emerald dress with a flowing skirt and elegant sleeves, which she paired with a brown coat and matching heels.
She wore medals around her neck and added sparkle to her ensemble with a pair of dainty gold earrings.
Leonor completed her look with a coffee-colored clutch and added some glamorous makeup to her features.
Queen Letizia of Spain is known for her fashion prowess – and if Princess Leonor’s latest look (pictured today with her parents) is anything to go by, it looks like the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
Her mother, Queen Letizia, 51, looked equally fashionable in a long-sleeved red A-line dress with matching shoes, paired with a black cape.
She wore her chocolate brown locks down and tucked them behind her ears, revealing a pair of diamond earrings.
For the event, the Queen went glam with a coral shimmery smokey eye and matching lip color.
Meanwhile, King Felipe looked dapper in a blue tie, white shirt and coat as he attended the event with his family.
His youngest daughter, Infanta Sofia, likely did not attend the event as she is currently studying at UWC Atlantic College in the Welsh county of Vale of Glamorgan.
The school is often called “the Hogwarts of the hippies” due to its progressive approach to education and the picturesque castle setting.
In October, Princess Leonor received a grand welcome from royal fans on her 18th birthday.

As she swore allegiance to the Spanish Constitution in Parliament, watched by her family and government representatives, Leonor’s experience in public speaking was evident, with a proud and unwavering performance.
In a speech given to the nation after the ceremony, the princess reaffirmed her commitment to the Spanish people and, in turn, asked the Spanish people to trust her as she strengthens her role and becomes a queen in training.
And there came a touching but poignant moment when the king presented his daughter with the Collar of the Order (of Carlos III), which is the highest civilian award in Spain.
