Here are all the new titles coming to Netflix in 2024

Netflix is celebrating the new year with a wide selection of popular movies and TV shows for viewers who love action, drama and comedy.
The streaming platform already confirmed in a blog post on December 10 that box office hits Annabelle and Aquaman will be available to its users on January 1.
Viewers can also prepare to watch hit shows This Is Us, How I Met Your Mother and Prison Break, which will be available on Netflix starting February 5, June 3 and July 29, 2024.
X (formerly Twitter) users have begun to question their Disney+ subscriptions as 10 of the 14 TV shows coming to Netflix are already on the platform.
“Here’s the question. THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF DISNEY+,” wrote user X.
How I Met Your Mother will be one of the series added thanks to a licensing deal reached between Disney and Netflix earlier this month.
Aquaman is one of the upcoming DC films that will be released on Netflix next month, joining 12 other DC films currently available on the streaming platform.
The slate of TV shows comes after Disney+ and Netflix entered into a short-term content licensing deal earlier this month.
As part of the deal, Netflix has been given permission to add shows such as How I Met Your Mother and Prison Break to its streaming platform next year for 18 months.
Disney+ will also have the rights to stream all 19 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy on its platform starting next year.
All seasons of How I Met Your Mother and Prison Break have been available on Netflix in the past.
Another show that is part of the 18-month deal that used to be on Netflix is Lost.
Prison Break, the popular show that Netflix removed in 2022, will return along with several other shows available on Disney+.
This Is Us, an NBC original show, is currently available on Disney+ after finishing its six-season run in 2022.
Some X fans no longer see the need for a Disney+ subscription, while others are glad Netflix is bringing back shows they long ago removed from their platform.
“Bring back Netflix shows that originally aired in the early 2010s,” wrote user X.
Some X users who haven’t discussed their subscriptions believe other streaming platforms should be shut down entirely.
One person tweeted: “It’s not really necessary to have all the streamers anymore since they’re all just licensing the same things to each other over and over again.”
“Disney has a great opportunity to combine Hulu content and Disney Plus content and they’re giving it all to Netflix instead lmao,” another person wrote.
Several Twitter users noted that Archer is already on their Netflix and that the streaming platform may have made a mistake in announcing a 2024 addition.
Archer is currently streaming on Netflix Canada, but will not be released in the US until May 13, 2024.
Annabelle received negative reviews from critics, but was a box office success upon its release in theaters worldwide in 2014.
Social media has been excited about the 2024 TV show additions as the shows are already available on Disney+.
Many X users were looking forward to starting watching How I Met Your Mother and Prison Break again, while others recommended Netflix streamers check out This Is Us once it becomes available to users on January 8th.
One person mentioned that Aquaman is actually one of many Justice League movies coming to Netflix after the streaming platform added 12 DC films last month.
Annabelle has also been added, much to the delight of X users in countries outside the US, who have been asking for the popular horror film to be added to the streaming platform since November.
