“We understand the community wants information on this case, however we must keep the integrity of the investigation our number one priority,” EPD Chief Rick Boone said in a social media post.

“We also understand that the community is concerned that the individual is still at large.”

The Edna Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Rangers Division are actively investigating Lisbeth’s death.

According to the press release, officers were dispatched to the Cottonwood Apartments around 6:57 p.m. last Tuesday.

“Upon arrival, officers considered the juvenile deceased,” the report said.

“(It was) the worst way a mother could find her child. She was killed in cold blood,” said Jacqueline’s mother. HOU.

“It was supposed to be a great day because she was in the Christmas parade. She was going to be on the cheerleading squad,” Jacquelin continued.

‘I lost it. She was my world, my everything. … Everything I do was for her. Someone dared to come in and just take my daughter away from me, it just kills me,” she said.

“I just want answers to why they did this to an amazing little girl who would never hurt anyone, wouldn’t dare hurt anyone.”

The small community of Edna, home to about 6,000 people, is shaken by the events.

“She was a very good girl and I’ve had messages from hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people recently. And it surprises me because I didn’t know how much everyone else loved her,” Jacqueline said.

Emergency medical services then arrived on the scene and attempted to resuscitate Lisbeth, but were unsuccessful.

It is not yet known exactly how Lisbeth was killed, but someone who posted on Facebook about her death said she was “brutally murdered in her own home.”

Lisbeth, also named Liz, attended Edna High School and planned to attend the University of Arlington to study nursing.

“She was a beautiful and talented girl, full of life and many dreams,” her loved one said on Facebook.

Her mother posted a video of Liz cheering during her school’s football match, saying: “My baby, you didn’t deserve to be taken away like that… you had amazing plans for the future.”

When she first discovered her dead daughter in their home, Jacqueline told KHOU she “lost her.”

“Someone dared to come in and just take my daughter away from me, it just kills me.”

The outpouring of support from the small town community has made Jacqueline feel loved and supported as she grieves for her daughter.

One friend who supported Lisbeth wrote a heartfelt tribute on Facebook and said: “The loss of a friend like you cannot be undone. You have always been an important part of our lives.”

“Words cannot describe how I feel. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the people you left behind. Rest in peace beautiful, we love you very much.”

Jacqueline said she didn’t realize how many people her daughter impacted and “how much everyone else loved her.”
