Hannah Tointon and Joe Thomas shared a family day out in the spring sunshine as they headed to a park in London on Sunday.

The couple, who have been together for over 15 years after meeting on hit comedy series The Inbetweeners, played with their toddler as they took a walk in the leafy park.

Hannah was dressed in double denim and a striped top as she pushed the buggy as she went for a walk with Joe, who looked casual in a sweater and yellow baseball cap.

It was Hannah’s sister Kara who revealed that the couple had welcomed their first child during a podcast interview back in October 2022.

Actress Kara, who is mum-of-two, opened up about her happiness while chatting on Ashley James’ Mum’s The Word podcast, revealing that Hannah and Joe were now parents to a baby girl.

During a discussion about finding out a baby’s gender, EastEnders star Kara said the couple were convinced they were expecting a boy after the ultrasound technician even blurted out ‘he’.

She joked that they were ‘knocked for six’ when Hannah gave birth to a baby girl.

Kara explained: ‘My sister just got her first. The funny thing is that on Joe’s side there are only boys, even during the scan they casually said that he at one point saw they had gone along thinking it was a boy.

‘Everyone who played the shape game etc said she was having a boy so when they finally had a boy… it was really brilliant but it knocked them for six.

So they hadn’t even decided on a girl’s name. They left it as a surprise.’

Hannah and Joe met after she played his character Simon’s on-screen girlfriend Tara during series three of The Inbetweeners.

Joe confirmed they were dating back in 2010, but admitted he was confused about how their relationship blossomed after their scenes together on the show.

He said: ‘I don’t really see how those scenes ignited romance because they were all her being sick in my mouth… but I’m really into it so obviously it was fine!

“It’s a pretty intense thing to be on set, so maybe that helps, but we’re not basing our relationship on Simon and Tara’s relationship on the show.”

In 2018, the pair appeared in the summer comedy The Festival together, and at the time Joe told Christine Bleakley on ITV’s Lorraine that he loved starring with his fiancée again, eight years after they first worked together.

He laughed: ‘I’ve come to the stage like she’s in everything, it went very well I think!’

In January earlier that year, UniLad reported that Joe got down on one knee after seven years with Hannah.

While known for his comedic roles, Joe says he tries to keep work and home life separate, explaining:

“I guess I try to switch off when I get home, if you’re doing comedy all day sometimes you want to be calm, I’m trying to introduce the word chilled into my vocabulary.”

Joe most recently starred in the ITV drama Maternal, but the show was canceled after just one season.

Hannah, meanwhile, appeared as Rachel Saunders in Sky’s TV adaptation of The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham.
