An Australian beauty brand famous for its ‘too good to be true’ hair range is making waves with two ‘must-buys’ for 2024: a mask that makes your locks ‘smell like vacation’ and a shampoo and conditioner that gives an instant ‘shine blast’.
Coco&Eve was started by Australian expat Emily while enjoying the rejuvenating benefits of spas in Ubud, Bali.
The mother, who is also behind the highly successful brands Bellabox and Sand & Sky, was struck by inspiration midway through a hike up a volcano and wanted to try and bottle ‘Bali magic’ in a way that combined tropical ingredients with science.
The result is one of the country’s best skin and hair care brands, which are heroes of raw virgin coconuts as the main ingredient; Indonesia is the world’s largest producer of the super fruit, which is known for its unique beauty benefits.
Sweet Repair hair mask Results: This scientifically formulated repair formula transforms locks in five minutes using biomimetic ceramides, keratin and hyaluronic acid
Follow Coco&Eve’s first star product, the Like a Virgin Hair Masquethe newest buy flying off the shelves this year is $49 Sweet Repair hair mask.
Already awarded more than 542 rave reviews, the scientifically formulated repair formula transforms locks in five minutes using biomimetic ceramides, keratin and hyaluronic acid.
It’s also packed with banana, avocado, guava, rambutan and the famous raw virgin coconut and only needs five minutes to sink in after shampooing.
‘My hair is oily at the scalp but very dry at the ends, so it’s very difficult for me to find products that help. This mask is absolutely magical, it adds shine to my hair and doesn’t make my scalp greasy, it smells amazing too,’ wrote one excited shopper.
‘Another magnificent maybe. My hair is a million times smoother from the first time and I have had little to no breakage! This mask delivers absolutely everything it promises,’ added another.

The other purchase sweeping social feeds at the moment is the brand new $62 ‘Pro Youth’ shampoo and conditioner set.
Very different from Coco&Eve’s popular Super moisturizing range, this set uses probiotics and retinol and increases the ‘bounceness’ of the hair while providing instant shine.
Clinically proven to improve hair shine by 93 percent when used with the brand’s Youth Revive range.
“This is the best shampoo ever,” one woman wrote.
‘Love, love, love this shampoo, conditioner and hair oil. It’s left my flat dull hair lovely and bouncy with an amazing shine,’ added another.
‘I love the smell. Nice and easy. The shine you get from this line is a game changer. Works great on my fine, long 2A hair. Works well with high lift blondes and I love the retinol used in this! It’s time we start focusing on not just our hair but our scalps,’ raved a third.

Emily Hamilton has lived away from home for 13 years to get Coco&Eve off the ground – and her sacrifices have ensured a bright future for the brand
The entrepreneur was pulled in two directions between having a home she called her own back in Australia and building a brand; she chose to pursue the more fleeting solution and took a chance on herself.
Emily sold her childhood home for cash to kick-start her brand – which is still 100 per cent privately owned – and relied on her seven years of previous beauty experience to make an impact in the market.
‘When I started looking at what would eventually become Coco&Eve, the vegan and cruelty-free movement was just finding its feet,’ Emily recalled. ‘It meant a lot to me because I was so conscious of consumption.’
“There was – and still is – a lot of brilliant hair care on the market,” she told FEMAIL.
‘But I wanted to occupy a space between supermarket and salon-certified products. This brand works to connect directly with the consumer and ensure they are looked after in a spectacular way.’
