A former Vanderbilt football player was arrested on charges that he bit the chest of one bouncer and the butt of another at a Nashville bar.

B.J. Anderson, a defensive end who recently declared for the NFL draft, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault after the alleged incident, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Tennessee.

Security allegedly prevented Anderson from entering when he was found in possession of a Gatorade bottle filled with alcohol.

After trying to enter a second time, this time without the bottle, he was turned away and a fight ensued, according to The Tennessean.

When Anderson pushed one guard, another quickly held him back but was bitten “in the right breast.” Anderson also bit another guard’s “right buttock.”

After six seasons with the Commodores, Anderson was allowed to play for Vanderbilt in his seventh season after an injury extended his eligibility. Anderson only appeared in three games last season and recorded a total of eight tackles and three pass breakups.

The Commodores had a terrible season and finished 2–10.

During his collegiate career, Anderson played in 34 games and made 74 tackles.

Anderson is the second Vanderbilt athlete to be arrested in the past month. November 26 basketball player Lee Dort was arrested and charged with aggravated assault for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend in her dorm room.

Dort was released on $10,000 bail approximately ten hours after his arrest.
