Prince William has always been a real prince, reserved and a little formal. Harry was a hugger

But what a difference the last few years have made – as we saw yesterday when he attended a surprise Christmas dinner at The Passage, a homeless charity in London.

It was a case of embracing the once reserved Prince of Wales.

Just a few days ago there was another royal hug from charity walker Emma Webb.

She got the biggest surprise of her life when William showed up unannounced, said “boo” and pulled her into a bear hug!

Emma lost her 16-year-old daughter Brodie to suicide in 2020 and is raising awareness by leading a charity walk from Wales to London.

It was the 13th day of the trip when William lashed out at him, bringing Emma’s companion to tears. A video of the meeting released by the palace went viral.

In the past, it was always noted how much William resembled his mother in appearance.

Now he added the warmth of her gestures to his repertoire. She would be proud.
