Pippa Middleton commands attention in a see-through lace green dress as she attends British Heart Foundation event in London

Pippa Middleton proved she’s not afraid to make bold fashion choices tonight as she headed to a charity event in London last night.

The Princess of Wales’ 40-year-old sister stunned in a sophisticated bottle green high-neck cocktail dress at the British Heart Foundation’s Heart Hero Awards at Glazer Hall.

Her daring dress looked typically stylish, made from sheer lace, but the mother-of-three made sure to hide what was underneath with a nude slip.

Adding a touch of festive cheer, Pippa added a touch of red to her green ensemble.

She wore a classic red clutch and paired it with elegant pointed heels in the same bold shade.

Pippa opted for a simple but stunning evening makeup look with nude lipstick and black eyeliner. For the event, she styled her glossy brunette locks into soft curls.

Today’s event The purpose of the award is to recognize people who devote “the majority of their time and energy to the fight against diseases of the heart and circulatory system.”

Pippa’s outing comes after the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden reported in October that she had navigated a thicket of rules that stand in the way of anyone trying to improve the home.

Her prize? Approval for her latest dream – a new Astroturf pool and tennis court on the Berkshire estate, which she and her husband, hedge fund chief executive James Matthews, 48, snapped up last year for £15 million.

It’s a triumph – and not just because, at 82ft x 19ft, it’s twice the size of a typical private pool and rivaled locally only by those at Newbury and Hungerford leisure centres.

What made Pippa’s plans particularly controversial was her desire to place the pool within what had hitherto been a magnificent vegetable garden, rather than extending the estate’s existing pool.

The council’s conservation officer raised concerns about the loss of “horticultural use” in favor of “recreational/leisure use” and the potential loss of “heritage fabric” on one of the vegetable garden walls during construction.

The council’s senior archaeologist Sarah Orr could not have been more encouraging, noting that the 17th-century manor house is close to “many Middle Stone Age monuments”, some of which are little more than a quarter of a mile away.

The new pool could “have an impact on the surviving archaeological deposits”, Orr warned, before recommending “dig trenches or test pits” where the work was proposed.

But Pippa continued to push forward, and the plans were amended at least seven times until victory was achieved.

Only one final detail requires her attention: No outdoor lighting should be installed above the tennis court or pool, the council insists, until “a lighting strategy has been submitted and approved.”

Meanwhile, Pippa has a new nephew after her brother James and his wife Alize Thevenet welcomed a son this fall.

In October, the Princess of Wales’s 36-year-old brother revealed his baby son Inigo had been born a few weeks earlier in an adorable Instagram post after he and his wife were first spotted taking a stroller for a walk.

Sharing a photo of Inigo’s tiny hand “holding” a badge with the logo of his late beloved dog Ella, and another photo of the tiny baby in his cot while James’ other dogs look after him, the new dad praised the NHS for caring for both. He also revealed that he had already told Inigo a little about Ella, who passed away in January this year, leaving James heartbroken.

While he didn’t reveal Inigo’s exact birthday, he said the baby had only been in his life for “just a few weeks.”

In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, James wrote: “He’s only been in our lives for a few weeks, but it’s been the most special thing of my life meeting our beautiful baby boy.”

“No matter how prepared I was, I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotions of the first meeting with Inigo and the love for my beloved Alize when there were three of us.

“We settled into our new lives as parents and I told him all about Ella and how if it weren’t for her he wouldn’t be here today and how much we miss her.

“The dogs have been great at accepting their little brother into the pack (although Inka needs to know that teddy bears are not just for her…)

“We would like to thank the amazing team at Basingstoke Hospital, from the very first scan to the first time the three of us walked out the front door, we could not have felt more supported and cared for throughout, so thank you to the NHS.”
