Princesses Chiara and Carolina de Bourbon send fans into a frenzy with their stylish outfits as they share highlights from the Monte Carlo Masters

The Monte Carlo Masters may be one of the biggest tennis championships in the world – but for fans of Princesses Chiara and Carolina de Bourbon, it was all about fashion.

The Italian princesses delighted their social media following with the glamorous outfits they wore to the sporting event, which they shared in a joint Instagram post last night.

Their father, Prince Carlo, has a claim to the now-defunct throne of the former House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, a cadet branch of the Spanish royal family.

For her first day at the week-long tournament, Princess Carolina, 20, dazzled in a sleeveless green linen maxi dress with cutouts around the waist.

The royal – who lives between Paris, Monte Carlo and Rome – completed her spring ensemble with a straw hat, gold bangs and some beige suede espadrille wedges.

Meanwhile, her young sister Chiara, 19, gave a nod to the Monte Carlo Masters by wearing a mini white pleated tennis skirt.

The stylish teenager paired her skirt with a preppy light blue shirt and a white cardigan draped over her shoulders.

The royal – who has previously been romantically linked to Prince Christian of Denmark – swept her blonde hair up into a loose bun and completed her look with some sneakers and gold earrings.

What’s more, the sisters looked just as happy when they returned to the event on Friday night.

On this occasion, Chiara opted for a red and white pin-striped shirt, which she tucked into a denim midi skirt with a thigh-high slit.

The royal matched her shirt with a red cap and also wore the same beige espadrille wedges she had debuted in the previous days.

Carolina looked equally glam in a pair of gray jeans, pink shirt and black pointed boots.

The sisters posed for photos outside the courts and playfully played a game of tennis with oversized rackets.

The post has garnered almost 10,000 ‘likes’ and fans were full of praise for their glamorous ensembles.

One gushed: ‘Always elegance, great class. That’s so rare these days.’

“So sophisticated and elegant,” added another. “What a grace.”

“Your clothes are beautiful,” said a third.

“Very elegant girls as always,” said a fourth.

Last year, Chiara shut down rumors of a romance with Prince Christian of Denmark.

Their outing comes after Chaira was forced to quash rumors that she was dating Denmark's future king, 18-year-old Prince Christian, son of King Frederik X and Queen Mary.

Chiara told Italian newspaper Corriere: “We’ve known each other since we were little, my father Carlo is godfather to his younger sister.”

But it was her hint that she ‘hopes to meet Queen Margrethe soon’ which sent the engagement rumors into overdrive.

The two princesses regularly share pictures of their glamorous lifestyles on Instagram, posting photos from destinations around the world, from Paris to Dubai and New York.

As Chiara is the younger sibling, she will not inherit her father’s title and duties, or his claim to head of the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies – they will go to older sister Maria Carolina, Duchess of Calabria and of Palermo (or Carolina for short ).
