Riverdale, Perth: How two allegedly drunk men demanded ‘Vodka and vapes’ while preventing tradies starting work when they refused to come down off a building for eight hours

Two men found themselves in an eight-hour standoff with police after they allegedly climbed onto the roof of a building and refused to come down.

The shocking incident occurred at a construction site on Row Avenue in Riverdale, near Perth, after nearby residents spotted men on the roof of the building at about 1.15am on Thursday.

Western Australian Police were called to the scene to try to get the couple off the roof safely after they refused to come down.

Instead of obeying orders to come down, the men screamed during a dramatic ordeal with officers before they lay down on the roof and took a nap.
