The intimate image allegedly recorded was of a “sexual act involving five to six men”, documents handed to Port Macquarie Local Court by police said. Mid North Coast News reported.

McArthur appeared in court Wednesday wearing a white suit, high heels and dark sunglasses.

According to courtroom rules, she was ordered to remove her glasses.

The defense suggested she would make an application and try to have her case dealt with under mental health legislation.

Magistrate Georgina Darcy, however, was not prepared to adjourn the case unless there was any sign of a guilty plea, in case the bid to dismiss it was unsuccessful.

The defense told the court that McArthur intends to plead guilty if the plea is dismissed.

The hearing of the case was postponed until January 25.
