‘She told me you made her have a “Freak Off”‘: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is hit with scathing letter from ‘traumatized’ Grammy-winning songwriter Tiffany Red backing up her friend Cassie’s abuse claims against the rapper
A close friend of Cassie Ventura is backing the singer’s claims that she was subjected to a torrent of abuse from her longtime partner Sean Diddy Combs in a scathing letter published by Rolling Stone magazine.
In one revelation, Tiffany Red, a singer-songwriter, claims she saw Diddy force Cassie to leave her own birthday party in August 2015 to have sex with male prostitutes for what the Bad Boy founder called “” Freak.
Red, 36, known for her work with Jason Derulo, Zendaya and her Grammy-winning contribution to Jennifer Hudson’s 2009 self-titled album, said she was “helpless” and “terrified” when Combs yelled at Cassie at the birthday party.
“I feared for Cassie and was completely traumatized…Your abuse of power has caused lasting harm to countless people, including me, my friends and my peers…This must stop,” Red wrote.
In response to letter, Combs’ rep repeated his previous statement of denial. “I did not commit any of the horrific acts alleged,” it reads.
In a shocking new letter, Cassie’s friend said she personally witnessed Diddy’s abusive behavior towards her.
Tiffany Red, a singer-songwriter, has backed up her friend’s allegations against Diddy in a shocking open letter.
Ventura rose to fame with the Ryan Leslie-produced hit Me & U, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in 2006; this was her only studio album
Cassie’s lawsuit, alleging battery and other abuse, was settled Nov. 17, the day after it was filed. Pending the settlement, Combs, through his lawyer, denied the allegations.
A week later, two more lawsuits were filed against Combs.
“I am breaking my silence, releasing haunting memories, standing in solidarity with Cassie, and advocating for myself,” Red wrote in her letter.
“I fear for my safety as her costume alludes to me, although not by name. “I hope that revealing my identity to the public will give me some protection.”
Cassie and Red became close in 2015 while working on a music project that never came to fruition.
Red claims that Combs approached her at Cassie’s birthday party.
“You came up to me and introduced yourself, saying: “So you’re the one writing all these songs about me? I said yes, and you looked back and said, “That means she’s talking to you, right?” it seemed like you were talking about the more tumultuous aspects of your relationship,” she wrote.
One song that Red and Cassie created together contained the lyrics: “I don’t know what’s real, I just know how I feel and you keep acting like you don’t know what you did wrong, trying to make me relax.” . Since we weren’t together, I took something.
Diddy and Cassie were photographed at the GQ party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles in 2012.
Ventura said in a statement after the lawsuit was resolved: “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on the terms that I will have some level of control.”
Recalling the infamous birthday party, Red said that while they were at a karaoke club, Combs arrived with a bodyguard and escorted her out of the party and into the hallway.
Red said she saw Diddy swearing at Cassie, waving his hand in her face, surrounded by his bodyguards.
“She and I made eye contact briefly. I felt helpless. She looked scared and continued to look at the floor. I didn’t know what to do. I was scared,” Red wrote.
Red also wrote that Cassie confessed to her allegations that Combs physically abused her and that he forced her to participate in what he called a “freak.”
The “freak” involved her being forced to have sex with other men while he recorded it and masturbated, Red claims.
“During the time I knew Cassie, I saw many disturbing cases. There were times when I heard you yelling at her and made threats, watched her so high that I feared she would overdose at a party you threw for her in Malibu, and witnessed both of you getting IVs after another party.”
“Additionally, when I was part of her management team in 2019 – a year after she was able to leave you – I saw you try to silence her by trying to tie a non-disparagement clause to her termination agreement with the record company, which seemed unfair. , Red continued.
Red’s letter echoes statements from Combs’ former head of security, Roger Bonds, who said he saved Cassie from being attacked.
Bonds, who worked for the singer more than 10 years ago, was named in Cassie’s lawsuit.
Bonds shared a message on social media that Cassie’s claims are just part of a long history of abuse from the rapper. And he added that there were many more incidents of violence that he personally witnessed.
A statement released in November after Cassie’s lawsuit was settled said they reached an agreement “to their mutual satisfaction” on Friday evening, but no terms of the agreement were disclosed and no further statements would be made.
In her statement, Ventura said: “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably with the understanding that I have some level of control. “I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
Combs said, “We have decided to resolve this issue peacefully. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.’
