Sydney Sweeney shares the terrifying moment she thought she was ‘going to die’ while filming rom-com with Glen Powell in Australia

Sydney Sweeney has revealed she was bitten by a Huntsman spider while filming the romantic comedy in Australia – and only her co-star Glen Powell realized she wasn’t acting.

The 26-year-old actress, looking stunning in a voluminous red dress, recalled being bitten while promoting the movie Anyone But You on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday.

“They told me he was trained,” Sydney Jimmy, 49, said. “I don’t know how to train this damn spider.” No exit.’

“So we’re filming and this thing just starts biting me, but we’re in the middle of the scene and I was supposed to be screaming, but then my screaming got a little serious,” Sydney said.

Jimmy showed a clip from the film where Sydney screamed when she was actually bitten by a Huntsman spider. After she kicked the spider off her wrist, Glen, 35, checked on her to make sure she was okay.

“Did that really hurt you?” Glen said after Sydney stopped screaming.

“They thought you were faking it,” Jimmy said.

“They thought I was making some really big dramatic choices in a rom-com,” Sidney said. “Nobody got cut, so I’m just sitting there with a spider on my arm, biting me. And I scream, and everyone just looks. Glen was the only one who said, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, I think it’s a little real.”

“I thought I was going to die,” Sidney said.

“Who else is bleeding over their rom-com?” – Jimmy joked.

Sidney gave Jimmy a Christmas gift – a basketball signed by all the Gonzaga University players.

“You’re so cool, how did you do it?” – said Jimmy.

“I’ve had a few guys DM me,” Sidney said. – Sometimes it’s useful.

Jimmy noted that the last time they saw each other, they were both helping The Rolling Stones release their new album in London. Sydney was on video. Jimmy then said hello to Jimmy’s mother, who was in the audience. He asked Sydney how he felt when he got the call to work with The Rolling Stones.

“I was worried, but not as worried as my mom,” Sydney said. “My mother was in shock. I think it’s the coolest thing I could ever do in front of my family.”

Jimmy asked her to tell the audience about her new romantic comedy, Anyone But You. Sydney said it takes place in Sydney, Australia, which she said is a very beautiful city.

“It’s amazing,” Sydney said. “It’s an enemies-to-lovers rom-com where you just cry and laugh and want these two beautiful people to meet.” ‘

“Glen Powell from Top Gun?” – Jimmy asked.

“Yes,” replied Sydney, who was rumored to be romantically involved with Glen.

Jimmy said that Australia seemed very dangerous to him.

“You know, that’s the first thing every Australian says when they see you: ‘You know anything can kill you,'” Sydney said.

“Sharks,” Jimmy said.

“Sharks, spiders,” said Sydney.

“There are spiders hiding in your slippers,” Jimmy said.

“No, spiders are hiding everywhere,” Sydney said. “I had a spider in my vent. The leg was sticking out. My God. I could not. You need to check your shoes. You shake your shoes before you put them on.”

Jimmy asked her if she had learned any slang in Australia.

“Actually, I did,” Sydney said. I’m currently in Australia filming another film. And while I was there, they had this thing called Schoolchildren. I think it’s when all the high school kids graduate and have a big spring break, summer vacation. And they block all the streets and call it “The Schoolchildren Are Out.” And then the “Tools,” that is, everyone over 21, come out and put bracelets on them so they know that there are Tools trying to pick up younger children.

“So, Toolies and Schoolies,” Jimmy said, laughing.

“Anyone who is still in high school and goes outside also gets a different color bracelet called ‘Stupid’,” Sidney said.

Sydney shared another funny story from the filming of Anyone But You. She described how they were filming at the Sydney Opera House and saw extra security and helicopters and thought they got “big and serious”.

“And then we find out that Barack Obama is here and they’re really here for him, not for us,” Sidney said.

Jimmy asked if she had the opportunity to meet President Obama.

“He stood there and watched and I think we got approval,” Sidney said.

Sydney also played a silly game with Jimmy, trying to collect as many elf toys as she could with a candy in her mouth and then throwing them into a bucket. They also competed to see who could put the most bows in a bucket while blindfolded.

“I don’t know if I’ll get anything,” Sydney laughs.

In their final test, they knocked cotton balls off cup lids using only a noisemaker. Sydney won.

“Sydney Sweeney is a champion,” said fan Jimmy.

Jimmy, who was accused of creating a “toxic work environment” in a September Rolling Stone article, has hosted an NBC talk show since 2014.
