Taylor Swift’s private jet took off from Kansas City and she’s heading back to New York City just one day before her 34th birthday.

She returns to New York for TIME magazine’s Person of the Year gala on Tuesday night after being announced as the honoree last week.

Tuesday’s event is described by TIME magazine as: “An exclusive, invitation-only evening featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and on-stage conversations with select members of the year-end celebration.”

This comes amid reports that boyfriend Travis Kelsey is planning a surprise celebration for her on December 13th.

She was in Kansas City to support him in the NFL on Sunday, but his Chiefs team lost to the Buffalo Bills in heartbreaking circumstances.

A smitten Swift was pictured kissing Kelsey on the cheek at the Chiefs game after party.

Kelsey has Tuesday off, so there’s nothing stopping the NFL star from joining his girlfriend.

However, he will need to return to Kansas City on Wednesday for practice as the Chiefs desperately try to get back on track after two straight NFL losses.

The happy couple were photographed at a party after Bill’s defeat, with a smitten Swift kissing Kelsey on the cheek.
