So it’s no surprise that people all over the world have taken to social media to ask strangers for advice on their evening ensembles, but some outfit suggestions have raised eyebrows for all the wrong reasons.

A woman from Bristol published on PlusSizeFashion thread A Reddit page asking for feedback on her £38 dress.
She shared a photo of herself wearing a sage-colored asymmetrical dress, the material of which reached to her knees on one side, paired with peep-toe pumps.
Of the ASOS DESIGN Curve Cowl Neck Midi Pencil Dress, she wrote: “Worn this dress to a wedding in the summer. Do you think this would be suitable for my work Christmas party?
“I don’t have many dresses that I like. I always feel awkward in dresses and have a hard time finding a dress that fits my bust and butt. Thank you.’
Users were quick to express their opinions and praise the dress.
One Redditor wrote: “The dress is beautiful and you look amazing in it.” It’s a little too summery for a Christmas party in my opinion. I think it depends on the venue and dress code.

The partygoer attended a parenting forum in the UK Mumsnet to discuss the details of her ensemble.
She explained that she had found a top she wanted to wear – an asymmetrical bustier from Zara – but was struggling to choose shoes, earrings and trousers to pair with the £59.99 outfit.
While many said they loved the outfit, one person suggested it was too “revealing” and another warned that some people’s “boobs are probably too big for it.”
In a post titled “Bustier for Office Christmas Party,” the woman explained: “I’m planning on buying this bustier from Zara for an office Christmas party that is black tie/cocktail dress code. (It will eventually be back in stock. WILL be.)
“What would you pair this with?” she asked. “I’m thinking chandelier earrings, similar to the model’s earrings, and maybe wide velvet trousers in a contrasting tone?
‘Shoes? “I don’t want to wear heels if I can help it,” she concluded in a post published on November 19.
However, her post caused mixed reactions.

While some people loved the outfit and said they would wear something similar if they looked like Roan, others said the bodysuit was too revealing for a holiday party, even if she was attending an influencer event .
She paired it with a lacy black bra and thong that left little to the imagination.
While Roan was confident in the look she created, others thought it was a little racy for the festive occasion.
“Keep your coat on at a party,” one of them chuckled. “We go to a lot of different holiday parties,” one said.
“Too scandalous? I think,” one added.
Some said they liked the look and didn’t understand how much negative attention Roan’s outfit was attracting.

Katie Oldham, from Brighton, said seeing the back of her outfit “made her humble very quickly.”

When Katie Oldham from Brighton found a silver sequined two-piece ahead of her company’s gala, she walked into it feeling confident and chic.
That was until she caught a glimpse of what it looked like from behind in the background of a co-worker’s photo.
The fashionista uploaded three photos to TikTok that she took the night of the party, which have racked up more than five million views.
With her hair styled in ’70s-style curls, Katie paired her striking suit with a brown faux fur jacket and happily posed for photos with a drink in hand.
She captioned the photos: “What I thought I looked like at the office Christmas party…”
The clip then cuts to another photo where Katie’s back is visible in the background.
Using a skull emoji, she captioned the photo: “What everyone else saw.”
“How to quickly come to terms,” Katie cheerfully captioned the video.
Since being posted on TikTok earlier this month, Katie’s video has racked up more than 486,000 likes, with viewers reassuring her that she looks “gorgeous” in her outfit.
One responded: “Baby, rear view is none of your business, out of sight, out of sight!” You look great”.
“The most interesting thing I’ve ever seen,” another added.
Erika wore this pink heart-print bralette to an unnamed restaurant in Helsinki and security guards deemed it “inappropriate.”
BRALET AND MINI SKIRT
Elsewhere, a woman was kicked out of a restaurant for wearing an “inappropriate” outfit.
Erika Helin, who won Miss Finland in 2018, was enjoying a party in Helsinki when she was approached by a security guard at an unnamed bar and restaurant.
For an evening with friends, the beauty queen wore a pink bralette with hearts, a black tiered miniskirt and high heels.
Although she was allowed into the establishment, Erica stated on Instagram that staff returned later in the evening and told her to leave.
Detailing the incident on her Instagram Stories, the social media star, who has 116,000 followers, called the security guard a “jerk.”
She wrote: “Suddenly this jerk came after me, told me I needed to leave (and) dragged me out of the bar.”
Erica says she was too shocked to “object in any way” while he “loudly criticized (her) choice of outfit” and said it violated the restaurant’s dress code.
She continued: “In my opinion, it’s contradictory to even accept a client if the outfit doesn’t suit him.
“It’s a little sad that your own body is inherently obscene and causes a reaction. I am sad that we have been your customer for many years, but this has left me with a very bad impression.”
Admitting that she didn’t see a problem with her ensemble, Erica added: “Maybe I’m too used to the dressing culture in my other home country – it’s much more relaxed there.”
She then posted a series of photos of the outfit on her feed and called the security guard a “misogynist.”
However, the post sparked controversy in the comments, with some arguing that the staff were right to kick Erica out.
One wrote: “It’s more like a bikini top and you can’t go to a bar in it.”
Another added: “This is a good outfit for going to the BEACH.”
Meanwhile a third said: “Totally unsuitable for a restaurant.”
