They’re all grown up! The Wales’s classy Christmas photo sees George almost as tall as his mother, Charlotte exuding confidence and Louis on his best behaviour

Royal fans were delighted with the stylish photo taken for Wales’ annual Christmas card and commented on how tall the children are getting.

The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a family photo online with the caption: “Our family Christmas card for 2023,” along with a Christmas tree and red love heart emoji.

The black and white image, chosen by the Prince and Princess of Wales, shows the couple smiling with sons Prince George, 10, Prince Louis, five, and Princess Charlotte, eight, seated in a chair at the front of the group.

The three men and boys are wearing matching simple shirts (George opted for a Ralph Lauren polo number) and dark trousers, while Kate and Charlotte have swapped trousers for jeans.

This sent fans into a frenzy, with many commenting on how Wales’ children were growing up, with Prince Louis appearing to be on his best behavior during the photo shoot.

The young five-year-old royal is known for his mischievous behavior and attracting everyone’s attention at events.

On Friday he blew out Prince Charlotte’s candle during his mother’s annual Christmas concert at Westminster Abbey, leaving his eight-year-old sister in stitches.

However, Louis didn’t seem to be up to his usual cheeky antics as he was seen standing upright in the photo with his dad’s hand on his shoulder.

“I think it’s a strong hand for Prince Louis to keep him from running away!” Love this mischievous child,” said one royal supporter on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Fans of The Firm also discussed how tall Prince George looked in professional photos, with some noting that at just ten years old he was almost as tall as Kate.

One wrote: “Prince George is so tall,” to which another replied: “Yes! He is already sitting on his mother’s shoulders, he is only ten years old.”

Another noted: “Prince George will be 6ft 5in or taller!”

A third wrote: “I love how George leans on his mum, almost protecting her, and how Charlotte is independent and says we have this.”

Many said that the young princess looked like her great-grandmother, the late queen.

Others predicted she would be the family’s next “star” and noted that she “oozes confidence and class.”

William, Kate and their children were photographed in Windsor earlier this year by renowned photographer Josh Shinner.

The picture shows a smiling Prince William with his arm around Kate’s waist as she held Prince Louis in her arms with a young George and Charlotte standing next to her.

At that time, George was only five years old, and he was half the height of his mother.

This year’s card, although less formal than the one issued by the king, shows more restraint than some of the previously released season’s greetings.

Some fans compared it to the black-and-white photos Princess Diana took of her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, in 1994, when they were 12 and 10 years old.

One fan said: “It also reminds me of that fantastic shoot with the Princess of Wales (Diana). It’s a different choice, but I also think it’s brilliant.”

Their image contrasts sharply with the card of King Charles and Queen Camilla, which is the official photograph of their coronation.

The picture shows the couple in the palace throne room after the ceremony in May. This photo was taken by photographer Hugo Burnand, who captured the couple standing side by side.

Charles wears the crown of the Imperial State and Camilla wears the crown of Queen Mary; The king is also depicted in a coronation tunic and manorial mantle.

This gown of purple silk velvet and gold embroidery was worn by King George VI in 1937.

The Queen is dressed in her estate, made by Ede and Ravenscroft from designs and hand embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework. She also wears her coronation gown, designed by Bruce Oldfield.

This is the couple’s second Christmas card since Charles became king last year following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2002.
