This is what the most attractive jaws looks like, according to science

Researchers have revealed the most attractive male jaw.

A researcher from the University of Brussels in Belgium conducted two online surveys using black-and-white photographs of celebrities and ordinary people.

Participants—both men and women—were shown a series of pictures of faces and asked to rate which jaw they found most attractive.

A strong, defined jaw is often considered a sign of masculinity in men.

And for women, a chiseled, angular look is often associated with traditional, classic beauty.

The jaw is so important to the overall look that procedures to enhance this area of the face are becoming increasingly popular.

For example, the number of procedures such as buccal fat removal (where tissue from the cheekbones is cut away to make the face appear thinner) and jaw fillers has increased almost 70 percent in 2021.

In the image above, when asked which image was the most attractive, 52 percent chose image 1. The fifth image was voted the second most attractive. The researchers did not specify the order of attractiveness of the other three.

This woman (Kate Moss) was considered attractive by 76 percent of participants.

This square-jawed woman was rated the least attractive, with 98 percent of participants finding her unattractive.

The woman on the left (Kate Moss) was considered attractive by 76 percent of participants, while the woman on the right was considered the least attractive, with 98 percent of participants finding her unattractive.

The research was aimed at determining the characteristics of the “ideal” jaw angle that plastic surgeons could recreate when making implants.

Some 81 people – men and women – took part in the survey about men’s jaws, which asked nine questions based on a set of questions.

In the photographs, eyes were closed to reduce the likelihood that people would make decisions based on other facial features.

Celebrities shown to attendees included Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, Colin O’Donoghue, Colton Haynes, Dean Winchester, Hrithik Roshan, Jensen Ackles, Liam Hemsworth, Matthew Bomer, Michael Fassbinder, Richard Armitage, Tahmo Penikett and Tom Hiddleston.

Almost half of the participants were facial surgeons.

When asked which of the five images above was most attractive, 52 percent chose image 1 and 36 percent chose image 5.

The researchers also asked participants to rate the width of the jaw, the steepness of the jaw at an angle from the front, how high on the face the jaw was, the profile view of the face, and the steepness of the jaw from the side at an angle. .

About 74 percent of participants said that a hidden jaw, hidden by fat, loose skin or a beard, is not aesthetically pleasing.

In a separate survey of 46 men and women, participants were asked to rate a range of women’s jaws.

The facial images were a mixture of celebrities and non-celebrities.

They included: Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss, Mila Kunis, Irina Shayk, Scarlett Johansson, Kendall Jenner, Margot Robbie, Iris Mittenere and Emma Watson..

The questionnaire had six questions covering different aspects of the jawline.

Supermodel Kate Moss was considered the most attractive by 76 percent of participants, while the unnamed woman on the right (above), with a square-shaped face, was considered the least attractive.

About 98 percent of participants found her face unattractive.

The researchers noted several limitations of their study. They said: “Complete anonymization of photographs remains a challenge.

“The use of models from the modeling/fashion/film industry made the likelihood of identity recognition very high and could become a source of bias.”
