Today, presenters Karl Stafanovich and Sarah Abo found themselves under the threat of harsh online abuse.
On Wednesday, the hosts read out rude comments about themselves in a hilarious Instagram video.
Karl laughed when one social media user compared him to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
“Why does Karl do his hair like Kim Jong-un?” I read the comment.
Another user made fun of Sarah’s teeth, writing: “Sarah, if you’re a true Collingwood blue supporter, how did you get those front teeth?”
Today, show hosts Karl Stefanovic (pictured) and Sarah Abo read offensive comments about themselves in a hilarious Instagram video.
“Why would a professional like Sarah be on the Today show?” another wrote, while a third said: “Why doesn’t Sarah laugh at anything?”
After reading the comment out loud, Sarah said: “I’m not laughing, it’s not funny.”
She then read out another rude message that said: “I feel sorry for Sarah Abo, I hope she gets over Carl first.”
One viewer also wrote: “Sarah loves watching herself on the monitor.”
Carl then continued reading comments about himself.
One viewer compared him to Phil Dunphy, while another wondered why he looked like Richard Wilkins.
One person also wrote: “Carl with the bleached blonde hair is a killer.”

The video comes after Karl recently shocked US fans when he made a wild prank on Today Breakfast show viewers.
The Nine star tricked fellow presenter Sarah by pretending he had just received breaking news of former US President Barack Obama’s arrest.
A video of the stunt went viral on TikTok, and Americans too were caught up in the fake news segment – until the popular presenter laughed.
The video began with Carl looking gloomy as he informed viewers at home about the “breaking news” he had just received “from the United States.”
“Former US President Barack Obama – we’re just waiting to check on this – but we hear that former US President Barack Obama has been arrested,” he said.
The video comes after Karl recently shocked US fans when he made a wild prank on Today Breakfast show viewers.
He continued: “This may be due to historical allegations related to his time in the White House, which are quite significant.”
Shocked by the obvious news relayed to Carl via earpiece, all co-anchor Sarah could say was, “Wow!”
However, Karl couldn’t keep up the joke for long and quickly laughed when he discovered that the whole story was in fact fake.
Sarah slapped him on the arm and promptly stormed off stage, leaving the breakfast show veteran left hysterical at the table.
