Travis Scott and tennis legend John McEnroe get into a HEATED argument over Nike sneakers collaboration: ‘Show some respect!’

Travis Scott and tennis legend John McEnroe appear to have gotten into quite a heated argument while discussing a Nike sneaker collaboration.

The 32-year-old rapper Sicko Mode, who reportedly “owes over $100,000 in back taxes” in the state of California, apparently had a disagreement over the name of the shoe with the 64-year-old sports star.

The incident occurred during an alleged Zoom call, which was shared by Good hits on the Xformerly known as Twitter – although it is unknown when the meeting actually took place.

DailyMail.com has contacted reps for Scott and McEnroe but has not yet received a response.

The beginning of the clip, filmed by another person participating in the remote meeting, began with John shouting, “Damn it, Travis!” calling for “a little bit of compromise”.

It turned out that McEnroe preferred the line to be called Cactus Mac rather than Scott’s Cactus Jack proposal.

The performer could then be heard explaining his point of view on the matter and stating, “Cactus Poppy was never a thing…”

However, the tennis player was not happy and interrupted him with the words: “Come on, dude!” Show some respect! This is my shoe!

Keeping his tone calm, Travis explained, “I don’t really like feeling this way. It feels like there’s something fishy about it… like selling hamburgers or something.”

He continued: “We’re not trying to take any of this away from you. I’m not trying to be disrespectful. I’m not going to do anything like that. Believe me. I know more about the value of shoes than anyone else.”

“But right now it’s the young people who are pushing me to do what’s happening now. I mean you have to trust me,” Scott added.

The video came to an end when John abruptly left the Zoom meeting shouting, “Forget it!”

Others on the call, including the rapper, could be heard calling for McEnroe to come back, but he had already left the meeting.

The exact date of the proposed meeting is unknown, but earlier this year in March it was announced that Travis and John would be collaborating with Nike to reintroduce the tennis player’s signature sneaker from 1984.

And in June, the popular shoe company released an ad campaign featuring the two for Mac Attack.

The sports star wore the Mac Attack sneakers while playing on the court in the 1980s, after the sneakers released in 1984 in a gray and black colorway.

Scott notably launched his own contemporary fashion brand called Cactus Jack, which could explain his proposal to also name the Nike Mac Attack line as Cactus Jack.

The updated sneaker will feature the same gray and black color scheme as the original Mac Attack, while the Nike swoosh symbol will be reversed, something Scott first teased in 2019. British GQ magazine.

Another addition to the original sneaker is the iconic checkered detailing on the tongue.

The Nike Attack is currently available to consumers on the website in a classic black and white colorway and retails for $120. Two other styles are also available, ranging from $130 to $140.
