Woolworths launches new fairy bread hot cross buns across Australia
Woolworths is now selling Fairy Bread hot cross buns and the limited edition flavor is already a huge hit.
Nostalgic foodies were delighted to discover a new buy as thousands of baked goods flew off supermarket shelves after Boxing Day.
Hot Cross Buns ($5 for a pack of four) are topped with pink frosting and come in 100-count and 1,000-count packs that you can apply yourself.
“This is my favorite flavor so far,” a shopper said on TikTok. “I’m obsessed with it. I need to go back and buy more.”
“Not only do they taste good, but they look really nice,” said another. “I love the color pink and the explosion of funfetti color.”

Many customers have given the hot cross buns rave reviews.
“Their woolen clothes came off,” one of them said. “I believe in the excellence of Fairy Bread, so ten out of ten.”
“I added a little biscoff instead of butter and sprinkled the 100 and 1000 on top – delicious,” said the home cook.
“Great, no notes,” one of them said simply.
The man added: “Biscoff on one side, Nutella on the other and butter with sprinkles on top.” Best I’ve ever tasted.
Customers across Australia have given rave reviews of Fairy Bread hot cross buns.
Some were desperate, the buns were already sold out, so they decided to take matters into their own hands.
“I couldn’t find Fairy Bread, so I bought regular hot cross buns with fruit, buttered them and dipped them in sprinkles. This is truly fantastic!” said the man.
While others were happy to get their hands on the popular purchase.
“I need to buy some of these at the next store,” the woman said. “My kids will love them.”
“So nostalgic!” another said. “I want to cry with happiness.”
“I’m usually a traditional girl, but the newness has gotten the better of me – I might have to try this!” one noticed.
Hot Cross Buns are now available in Woolworths stores and online across Australia.
Cadbury Chocolate Brioche, Indulgent Chocolate Brioche and Woolworths’ favorite Cadbury Caramilk Chocolate Brioche will also be available to purchase, along with more traditional flavours.
