One of the models can barely walk on the high platforms she’s wearing, but she laughs as she reaches out with her free hand for help.

The other blonde grabs her arm to stabilize her, but she still ends up falling onto the sand.

‘The St. Marc Top Handle in Limoncello. Filmed and filmed by @shadrinsky,” the video caption reads.

The video has been viewed more than 587,000 times, but critics were more concerned about the welfare of the models and dogs than the advertised handbag.

“This is cruelty to both dogs and people,” one person responded.

“What is the point of this campaign? Will anyone feel uncomfortable? someone else asked.

“This is one of the worst handbag advertisements I have ever seen. Leave the dogs out of this,” another added.

However, some claimed that the dogs thrived in windy conditions due to their specific breed.

The dogs in question appear to be Afghan hounds, which have long, thick coats that protect them from the harsh climate of the mountainous region from which they come.

“Oh, and yes, people love creating drama again, oh my God. These girls probably had a good laugh and got paid well for this job,” one person commented.

“And like any dog, these Afghan Hounds love to be outdoors. This is a very ancient breed and hunting dog from Afghanistan that lived and competed in very harsh conditions.

“So I’m pretty sure they can handle this ‘abuse’ as some people call it. WOW, some people really deserve an Oscar for drama…”

Whether the dogs were comfortable or not did not matter to some critics, who felt the filming was “ridiculously unnecessary”.

‘Dangerous. The model could have broken her ankle. @shadrinsky and @marcjacobs this is bad practice,” one person insisted.

Another added: “It makes America’s top models with their ridiculous antics…”

“This is just stupid. I’m so glad I left the fashion shit show,” someone else shared.

However, Bianca, one of Marc Jacobs’ models, defended the shoot in the comments amid the backlash, saying there was nothing offensive about it.

“This photo shoot was fun, we had a really good time, we love dogs and the dogs were very happy to play outside,” she wrote. “Stop being miserable and enjoy life, sometimes it’s windy and dirty (but) you can still enjoy yourself. World.’
